Real-Life Paranormal Activities Shared by Our Classmates From The Department of Pharmacy

Knowing these real life incidents might keep you awake during the night.

Growing up, ghost stories and spooky experiences have always been a part of our childhoods, whether through movies, TV shows, or books. But nothing quite sends shivers down your spine like hearing about firsthand encounters from people you know. Here’s a collection of real-life paranormal experiences shared by my classmates from the department of pharmacy that left me questioning the thin line between reality and the unknown.

  1. Paralyzed by Fear

One of my classmates, Shafin Shahriar Ruheen, had a chilling experience during his first year of college. He lived with his parents in an old building, and his room was tucked away in a distant corner, far from theirs. Several nights, he found himself waking up completely paralyzed, experiencing what’s commonly known as sleep paralysis.

However, one particular night took a frightening turn. While trapped in that paralyzed state, Ruheen opened his eyes and saw something that made his blood run cold. A naked old man was sitting at the foot of his bed, staring at him. Unable to move or react, he was forced to watch until he eventually drifted back to sleep. The next morning, he brushed it off as just a vivid nightmare and didn’t mention it to anyone.

But things took an unexpected twist a few days later when his sister, unprompted, shared that she had experienced the exact same thing, a strange naked old man sitting at the foot of her bed. She described him in detail, exactly as Ruheen had seen. What made it even more unsettling was that Ruheen had never mentioned his own encounter to her.

  1. The Stench of The Unknown

Farhad Joy, a guy famous in our department for his beatboxing skills, once shared an experience that made him a firm believer in the existence of demons. It was a chilling story that took place during one of his regular winter BBQ parties, something he and three close friends hosted every year. On this particular night, things took a disturbing turn.

They had already finished the first session of the barbecue, which went smoothly. For the second batch, however, they decided to use the leftover wood, as it would be the final round of grilling for the night. Joy and his friend Amick were tending to the fire, while Zidane, another one of the group, relaxed in the corner, listening to music. Sayem, the friend whose rooftop they were on, was minding his own business nearby.

Not long after they lit the fire for the second batch, an unbearable stench began to fill the air. Joy noticed it first but wasn’t entirely sure of its source. The smell grew stronger, more putrid, as the minutes passed. Finally, Joy brought it up to Amick, who agreed that something smelled foul. To their surprise, Sayem seemed shaken when they mentioned it.

Sayem, who had always claimed to be sensitive to the presence of demons since childhood, became visibly worried. The fact that both Joy and Amick could also smell the stench unnerved him. Then, things took an even creepier turn. Joy suddenly felt as though someone was watching him. He could pinpoint the exact location from where he felt the gaze, but whenever he looked directly at the spot, there was nothing there.

Alarmed, Sayem quickly called Zidane over to join them by the fire. Without any of them saying a word about what had been happening, Zidane spoke up. He told them he had seen an old woman standing behind the fire, pointing to the very same spot where Joy had felt the unseen presence. This revelation sent chills down everyone’s spine. The disgusting smell lingered for another 20 minutes before finally dissipating, leaving the group in silence, traumatized and deeply unsettled by the strange encounter.

That night left Joy with a conviction he hadn’t held before: the terrifying events he experienced during that BBQ convinced him that demons could indeed exist.

  1. They Were Never Alone

Fariha Tasnim Bushra, one of the friendliest girls in our department, shared an unusual experience from when she was in the 9th grade. At the time, her father was transferred from Tangail to Naogaon, so the family moved with him. They rented a modest house in Naogaon, which had a narrow corridor and two separate rooms. From her window, Bushra could clearly see a grave located right beside her room, a sight that became part of her daily routine.

Around that time, Bushra got a new phone and quickly became absorbed in it, staying up late into the night scrolling through social media. One night, while scrolling through her Facebook feed, she suddenly felt as if she saw someone in her dining room, dressed in white. Initially, she brushed it off as a trick of her mind and went back to her phone. But moments later, she caught sight of the same figure running across the dining room. This time, she was certain, especially since the lights were on. She had seen someone.

Frightened, she couldn’t sleep that night. The next morning, she told her father everything. To her surprise, her father admitted that whenever he was home alone at night, he too felt the presence of someone running around the house. He even confessed that he always kept his door locked at night whenever he was by himself.

What do you think? Were they truly haunted by demons? Do demons actually exist, or was it all just in their minds?

I believe there are things that exist, even though we can’t see them. My philosophy on demons is that they are beings who live in a higher dimension than ours and can, in some cases, interfere with our dimension.
